DPS Society

DPS, these three letters cast a spell in the field of school education in India and abroad. Delhi Public School, since its humble inception in 1949 at Mathura Road, Delhi, has come a long way. Presently nearly 200 Delhi Public Schools are running in India and abroad under the aegis of Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi. DPS is dedicated to the cause of quality education in the country, and follows a secular approach in all matters. It has eminent educationist, jurist, engineers and administrators of the country on its board. Founded and managed by distinguished members and luminaries of society from various walks of life, the organization has always guided its member schools on the path of progress with their visionary approach and lofty ideas.

DPS Society believes that education is beyond information and is a value based system that should strive to inculcate the essential values, whether moral, cultural or spiritual that will lead to a heightened ability to make proper value judgements & internalize one’s life. Consequently, Delhi Public Schools have become significant portals of learning and growth of young minds. Their credo is to provide an all round development & a sound moral base. Fostering character building and nurturing the inquisitive spirit of children, encouraging scientific temperament and strengthening social bonds, are their constant endeavours. Surging ahead with a spirit of healthy competition, balancing a successful career teamed with a contended life is the gift they wish to give to all DPS children.

Distinction and diversity are the twin hallmarks of our philosophy, educational leadership and scholarly achievement of our mission. This special character of the DPS Society has shaped the destinies of each individual entering its folds. The name Delhi Public School has become synonymous with quality education and this is due to the wonderful blend of ‘Service before Self’ and ‘Pursuit of Excellence’. The DPS Family – with its transcontinental identity, is thus not merely a list of institutions, persons or facts; it is a network of values, systems and relationships.
